Road resurfacing at Hualālai rd and Māmalahoa hwy intersection tomorrow

Hualālai rd and Māmalahoa hwy intersection will be resurfaced May 30-31On May 30-31, the existing roadway at the Hualālai rd and Māmalahoa hwy intersection will be resurfaced. One- lane closures will be in effect during the 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM work schedule.

Road resurfacing will continue Monday, June 4 through June 5 on Hualālai rd for 3,430’ ending at Lako street. Motorists are asked to use the Palani Rd to North Kona or Ha’awaina street to access Keauhou and South Kona

One lane closed on Hawaii Belt Rd in North Kona

HELCO crews are replacing a transmission pole on Hawaii Belt Highway south of the new Makalei Fire Station in North Kona. One lane is blocked with security control for traffic mitigation until 1 or 2 PM today

LED streetlights for Waimea installed tomorrow

Alternate lane closures will be in effect 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM along Mamalahoa Hwy in South Kohala between Waimea Schools and Kinohou Street (Waimea Shell Food Mart) Friday May 25- Sunday and maybe into Tuesday to convert 60 streetlights in Waimea from the current low-pressure sodium lamps, or LPS, to light-emitting diode lamps, or LED.
